Aspen Mtell

Start with a representative slice of data for AI predictive maintenance platform for industrial assets using machine learning to detect failure patterns and prioritize maintenance. Connect only the systems needed for the first use case and establish baseline metrics such as forecast error, downtime, defect rate, inventory accuracy, sourcing cycle time, or exception-resolution time.

Run Aspen Mtell alongside the existing process before replacing it. Compare AI outputs with actual production results, supplier responses, shipment milestones, inventory counts, maintenance findings, or reviewed safety events. Investigate both strong recommendations and obvious mistakes so the team understands where the model is reliable.

Keep automation staged. Begin with recommendations, then approval-required actions, and only expand autonomy for repeatable cases with clear guardrails. Limit credentials to the systems and actions the workflow needs, log every consequential action, and provide an explicit fallback when data is stale or confidence is low.

Review performance continuously after rollout. Track drift, false positives, missed events, overrides, latency, savings or throughput impact, and failure recovery. Re-check vendor documentation when adding new sites, equipment, regions, suppliers, or autonomous actions.
