Set up Jules in the web application and install its GitHub app for the repositories your workflow needs. Generate an API key in Jules settings and store it securely on your server. Send the key in the documented X-Goog-Api-Key header, then list available sources to obtain the repository resource name. Create a session with a prompt and starting branch. Set requirePlanApproval to true when your workflow needs a person to approve the plan, since API-created sessions otherwise approve plans automatically. Poll session details and activities, send clarification messages when needed, and review the resulting changes or pull request. Keep API credentials out of client code and logs. Treat the alpha version as experimental and check the current documentation before changing production automation.
