IXL Diagnostic

Start with one real learning task that matches IXL Diagnostic's strength: adaptive diagnostic system that estimates student proficiency and recommends personalized skills for continued learning. If the product accepts source material, provide the relevant notes, slides, textbook section, assignment, or lesson objective so the AI has enough context to produce useful output.

For student use, ask for explanations, hints, examples, practice questions, or feedback before requesting a final answer. Work through the response and compare it with course material. For teacher use, generate a small lesson, assessment, or activity first, then edit difficulty, wording, standards alignment, and accommodations before sharing it with a class.

Test the product on both straightforward and ambiguous questions. Check factual accuracy, mathematical steps, citations where available, reading level, and whether the AI encourages reasoning rather than simply revealing answers. For language-learning tools, practice aloud and review pronunciation or correction feedback across several sessions.

Before broader use, review student-data handling, age requirements, school controls, accessibility, export options, and academic-integrity expectations. This catalog currently classifies the commercial model as subscription, but confirm current plan limits directly with the provider.
