Retell AI

Create an agent in Retell and start with a single conversation objective. Configure the prompt, voice, and call behavior, then test with the provider's simulation or test-call tools before attaching production numbers. Add functions or webhooks for business actions only after validating inputs and authorization on your own server. Test interruptions, silence, voicemail, noisy audio, and unexpected questions. Monitor transcripts and outcomes during rollout, redact sensitive data where appropriate, and provide human escalation for cases the agent should not resolve autonomously.

For a first evaluation, keep the scope small enough that you can compare the AI-assisted result with a known baseline. Record the configuration, model or workflow choices that produced the result so successful tests can be reproduced. If the product connects to external systems or private data, grant the minimum permissions required and review the provider's current security and data-handling documentation before expanding access.
