Introducing Ploba: A Better Way to Discover AI Tools

Meet Ploba, a discovery platform for finding AI apps, agents, APIs, plugins, datasets and developer tools in one structured catalogue.

Illustration of interconnected networks

AI products are being launched faster than most people can keep track of them. Ploba is a place to discover those products without digging through scattered launch pages, repositories, and recommendation threads.

Whether you are looking for an AI agent to automate a workflow, an application programming interface (API) to build your own tools, or an MCP server that connects an AI application to external tools and information, Ploba brings the expanding ecosystem into a single, structured catalogue.

Why We Built Ploba

The practical problem with the current AI landscape is fragmentation.

New products and tools are scattered across company websites, GitHub repositories, social media posts, and closed communities. When you search for a specific tool, search results often favour the most heavily marketed products rather than the most relevant ones.

Furthermore, product descriptions can be vague, making it difficult to compare similar options. Developer tools, consumer applications, and foundational models are frequently mixed together without any clear structure. For creators, it can be equally frustrating to present and maintain their products where users will actually find them.

We built Ploba to make this process less fragmented. It organizes product information so you can understand what products do, who publishes them, how they are accessed, and where to learn more.

What You Can Discover

Our catalogue currently features thousands of AI products, spanning a wide range of capabilities:

  • Apps: Ready-to-use consumer and professional applications.
  • Agents: AI-powered systems that can plan steps, use tools and carry out tasks with varying levels of autonomy.
  • APIs: Developer tools for building with AI.
  • Plugins & CLI Tools: Integrations that extend your existing workflows.
  • MCP Servers: Servers utilizing the Model Context Protocol to connect AI applications to external tools and information.
  • Datasets: Foundational information and training data for AI models.

Browse products by category and product type, then use the available filters to narrow the catalogue.

More Than Product Listings

Ploba provides context alongside discovery. In addition to the main catalogue, you can explore:

  • AI Hackathons: Discover upcoming opportunities to build, compete, and collaborate with other developers.
  • AI Glossary: Learn unfamiliar terminology, from basic concepts to advanced architectural ones.
  • Editorial Blog: Read deep dives, such as our guide on introduction to MCP 101.
  • Top Charts: See what tools are currently popular across the ecosystem.

For Users

If you are a visitor looking for tools, you can use Ploba to search for a specific task or browse through curated categories. Once you find relevant options, you can evaluate them, save or bookmark the ones you find interesting, and follow direct links to official product websites.

For Creators and Companies

For publishers and developers, Ploba offers a way to establish your presence.

If your product is already listed, you can claim the listing to verify ownership, correct product information, and maintain a centralized organization presence. If your product is not yet in the catalogue, you can submit it to be added.

While full self-service creator dashboards and unified usage analytics are still being developed, you can initiate these updates and claims through our current submission and verification processes.

How the Catalogue Is Built

Our sourcing philosophy is straightforward:

  • Information is sourced from public and official documentation.
  • Descriptions must be clear, factual, and avoid exaggerated marketing claims.
  • Official sources are preferred for verification to maintain accuracy.
  • Listings serve as a bridge, pointing users toward the actual product and publisher.

Some listings in the catalogue are currently sourced by our team and have not yet been explicitly claimed by their owners. By allowing publishers to claim listings and request corrections, we aim to build a directory that remains accurate over time.

Starting with Discovery

We are launching with discovery first because finding the right AI product is already difficult.

At present, our primary focus is on structured information. Features like unified subscriptions, native installations, licensing, and integrated usage billing are not yet generally available. Full user dashboards are also a work in progress.

Our sequence is deliberate: Make products easier to discover, help publishers maintain accurate listings, improve comparison signals, and add deeper activation and developer capabilities over time as the platform grows.

Explore Ploba

The best way to understand the platform is to start looking around.

  • Explore AI products in the main catalogue.
  • Browse AI hackathons to find your next project.
  • Read the AI glossary to brush up on industry terms.

If you have built something useful, we invite you to claim your listing or submit your product.
