Copilot Checkout

Choose one measurable commerce workflow for in-chat checkout capability that lets shoppers complete purchases inside Microsoft Copilot while merchants remain merchant of record. Use a representative catalog and define what success means—relevant discovery, conversion, accurate product data, successful checkout, lower merchandising effort, or another concrete merchant outcome.

Use Copilot Checkout to produce or execute the first version, then inspect the underlying details. Verify product titles, variants, prices, stock, tax and shipping behavior for commerce tools; for builders, inspect every generated page, navigation path, mobile layout, form, metadata, and integration.

Keep consequential actions controlled. Payment or order execution should use explicit authorization, spending limits, auditable credentials, and clear confirmation rules. Generated sites should be tested for accessibility, security, privacy, performance, and ownership before launch.

After rollout, monitor failed searches or actions, abandoned checkouts, agent errors, conversion, latency, cost, data freshness, and user corrections. Re-test whenever protocols, models, merchant feeds, payment rails, or connected applications change.
