Publishing Policy
What applies to all published content
Effective: September 2026 · Applies to all guest and sponsored articles
Ploba reviews every article before publication. These rules apply to both guest and sponsored contributions. They protect readers, maintain editorial integrity, and keep the platform a trustworthy resource for the AI community. Paying for a sponsored placement does not change these standards — it changes only what promotional content is permitted in the article body.
Originality and Accuracy
Every submission must be original work written or substantially revised by the named author. We do not publish content copied from another source, paraphrased without attribution, or generated in full by an AI model without meaningful human review and authorship.
If you used an AI writing assistant during drafting, disclose this when you submit. Editors will assess whether the article reflects your genuine expertise and judgment. A well-edited AI-assisted draft is acceptable; an unedited AI dump is not.
Claims must be accurate. Check code snippets, benchmarks, statistics, and API behaviour against current sources before submitting. Editors may ask you to correct or remove a claim they cannot verify. If the evidence for a claim is genuinely disputed in the community, say so in the text.
Plain English
Write so a reader with roughly B1 English proficiency can understand your words and sentences. Technical subjects may still be advanced — you do not need to simplify the ideas. What you must do is define jargon when it first appears, use concrete examples, and explain what each step achieves and why it matters.
Do not pad sentences with filler phrases. Avoid marketing language ("cutting-edge", "seamless", "game-changing") unless you are quoting someone else.
Article Length
A published guest or sponsored article should contain at least 800 words, not counting navigation, the author bio, and references. This is an editorial baseline, not an SEO target.
An editor may accept a shorter article when the subject is focused and the article covers it completely. They will not accept a padded article that reaches 800 words through repetition or filler. A pitch or outline does not need 800 words.
Source Links
Link claims to relevant evidence. Prefer official documentation, original research, technical standards, and firsthand sources. Wikipedia may provide useful background but should not be the only support for a technical or disputed claim.
Name the source in the surrounding sentence — for example, “according to the OpenAI documentation” — rather than hiding it behind generic anchor text such as “here” or “this source”.
Links in Guest Articles
Guest articles are educational, not promotional. The rules for links are:
- Author bio: One relevant personal website, portfolio, or company link.
- Article body: Citations and further reading that serve the reader. No promotional links, paid links, affiliate links, or keyword-stuffed anchor text disguised as a citation.
- Disclosure: If you mention a tool you built or a company you work for, say so in the text. Mentioning your tool is acceptable when it is genuinely the best example for the point and you disclose the relationship.
Links in Sponsored Articles
Sponsored articles may include up to two links to the sponsor's own sites or products in the article body. Independent source citations do not count toward this limit.
The following are never permitted in sponsored articles:
- Affiliate redirects or tracking links to third-party sites
- Links to destinations unrelated to the article topic
- Misleading anchor text — the link text must accurately describe where the link goes
- Promises of search ranking benefits from the placement
All sponsor-controlled promotional links in published articles use rel="sponsored" on the rendered link element. This is applied by the platform automatically; authors do not need to add it manually.
Internal Links
Authors may suggest relevant Ploba Learn articles, AI Terms entries, or tool listings where they help the reader. Editors decide which internal links appear in the published version. Do not add internal links to meet a quota or to promote a listing you have a commercial interest in.
Attribution and Rights
If you quote or summarise another person's work, attribute it clearly. Do not reproduce substantial portions of copyrighted text without permission. If you use images, diagrams, or screenshots, you must have the right to use them and must credit the source where the licence requires it.
Editorial Process
Every submission goes through editorial review. Reviewers assess the accuracy of claims, the quality of explanations, the appropriateness of links, and whether the article serves our readers well.
Ploba may request edits for clarity, accuracy, link quality, or formatting. We may also correct minor typographical errors without prior notice. If we request significant changes, we will work with you to resolve them before deciding whether to publish.
Ploba reserves the right to decline any submission, including sponsored submissions, that does not meet these standards or does not serve our readers. Payment of a sponsorship fee does not guarantee acceptance, a publication date, or a positive assessment of the sponsor's product.
